Getting My Riding Boot Stuck

I'm home from riding, dressed in my high leather riding boots, jodhpurs and blouse. I can't wait to get my boots off and get comfy! I manage to get the first one off, exposing my favourite long socks. But the second one just won't budge. I get out my boot jack, but it just gets stuck onto the boot too!! I'm hobbling around in one boot, and one socked foot, with the boot jack jammed onto my boot. i'm getting incredibly frustrated with the whole thing, and wonder if my long wooden ruler will help me get unstuck? I can't reach it from under the sofa, so I try to snag it with my booted foot. And then my boot gets stuck under the sofa too!! This is the worst day ever. I struggle to get my foot dislodged from under the sofa, grunting, groaning and wriggling to escape. I'm exhausted!
