Ever since the start of the season, I’ve had my eye on my son’s coach. Tall, dark, and handsome, just like I like them. After taking my son to practice several times wearing my short dresses and hoping he would notice, I started making up reasons to talk to the coach after practice. You know, important stuff like, “is there anything my son could improve on,” and “do you think you could come over sometime to help him with his skills.” One day when he was scheduled to come over, my son had something to come up with and couldn’t make it home for his “one-on-one” practice. I didn’t bother to let the coach know; I wanted him to come on over. I had a different kind of “one on one” practice in mind. He didn’t seem to mind either.
