It's Halloween night, but roommates James and Charlie are struggling to figure out what to dress up as. James comes home with a spell book that will supposedly transform the user into whatever they wish; Charlie is skeptical, but much to their surprise, the book is actually magical, and James transforms into a big, muscled Strongman just like you'd find in an old-timey circus. As he flexes in the mirror, Charlie gets jealous and wants to be big too, so James obliges--by turning him into a big, round, circus clown! James laughs and teases Charlie's big ball body and silly oversized suit, but with a body so big and round, Charlie can barely move, let alone do anything about it. His voice has also been replaced by honking, making Charlie a very sad clown. James decides to show Charlie and himself off to the neighborhood to prove how beloved clowns really are, much to Charlie's dismay. The crowd laughs as Charlie waddles around like a big, round penguin, and they cheer as James picks him up with ease and bounces him around like a circus ball. James suggests they start a traveling show, just like the old days, but then decides they'd make more money if they looked younger. James tries to find a spell to shrink them down, but his hands are so big that they obscure the page, and he casts a spell that shrinks them down to the size of toys!
