Don’t you know it’s immensely better to be wanted than needed? Of course you want to be wanted, to be chosen, to be desired. Especially by someone who specifically does not need you at all. If you don’t already know the difference, I want you to listen very closely… because this is vital to your role and purpose here with me. Don’t overthink it; this couldn’t be more simple. I do not and never will “need” you. But you need me. Do you have what it takes to be desired? Do you have something I want from you? As long as you do, I want you. And more importantly, that’s all you could ever want.
