Robert is hospitalized in the ICU due to the numerous heart attacks he had in the previous months. He has in fact been revived several times, his heart is weak and he is intubated since he cannot breathe independently. His heart is so tired that he goes into cardiac arrest again. The scene begins with the doctors busy trying to save him. The CPR cycles follow one another, together with the AMBU bagging. The CPR board has already been inserted under the back to help rescuers with chest compressions. The ventricular fibrillation continues and the doctors decide to use the defibrillator. The shocks shake Robert's body, but do nothing. Resuscitation maneuvers continue even when the patient's heart goes into asystole. They recover it only after a few minutes, the rhythm becomes shockable again, but not even the subsequent shocks get the desired results. The heart seems too weak to restart, but after numerous attempts and shocks, the heart starts beating again, even if the rhythm remains irregular Robert recovers.
