Listen, I am not a carpenter, but I tried my best! I built a planter box for my garden without any plans, just fucking winging it. It was a super fun project and made even more exciting by the fact that I was naked for *almost* the whole build! I did have to go back to the hardware store (twice hehe) but that just gave me a beautiful opportunity for public flashing.
