You're back for your six month appointment with Dr. Loren. She sits you back and while preparing to work on your mouth, she informs you that the hygienist you saw last time noticed you were staring at her gloves and face mask. Dr. Loren isn't quite sure why, but if it makes you less nervous during your visit, she's comfortable with this behavior. She proceeds to glove up in extra long purple nitrile gloves and don a pair of safety glasses. To begin, she gives you gas to relax. You know at this point you can count on this as part of your procedure and hopefully enjoy it. She then uses her dental tools to inspect your mouth. As her goggles begin to fog up, she asks you to excuses her while she changes her surgical mask into a visored procedure mask. Once her mask has been changed, the dentist proceeds to finish your exam. She gives you a bit more gas before telling you to come back in another 6 months.
