Today is our CPR simulation. Make sure everything is double-checked so you know precisely what to do if you ever find yourself in a scenario where you must intervene to save someone. Get yourself comfortable, pay close attention, and do as Ama Rio says. After performing a scan on the body, compressions are the first step in CPR. But first, to determine if anything is blocking the victim's airway, you must first get them to open their mouth. Swab the inside of the mouth with your index and middle fingers to see if there is a blockage. Turn the body on its side, flip the person over, and smack their back to dislodge anything stuck in their neck if you can't feel it. Obviously, if you can't get it, there's nothing to get. In order to give it another go, the body can be flipped over. Next up is compressions, these are performed by interlocking one hand over the other and placing the palms of the hands against the breast bone between the nipples and straightening your arms out to give full control of your body weight pressing down into them at a controlled rate. Put your hands on your chest and give it all you've got. You can put a lot of strength into twerking your butt and grinding on the other person's chest. Singing "Baby Shark" in time with your heart rate is an effective technique for counting pumps and maintaining a steady rhythm. After you have finished performing chest compressions, you should see if the victim is getting enough air by pinching their nose and sealing their mouth tightly, breathing into the hole. Until the patient shows signs of consciousness, this procedure should be repeated several times. Look for signs of the chest inflating with your breath. Once in a while, if the patient is responsive enough for compression, you may want to lean in closer to the left side of their chest to make sure their heart is still beating. If the patient is still unresponsive, check for airway obstructions again. Check for a pulse, heartbeat, or other signs of responsiveness after performing chest compressions (in which your hands are interlaced and you pump the chest for a few beats). Keep blowing and pumping until you feel a pulse.
