The Cosmos, The Arrivals, Book 1, Chapter 22, Sections 1 and 2, The Cosmos: What Happens Next? (After D14). A Look Ahead to the Rest of the Term. ¶ ¶ The Cosmos: The Arrivals Come to an End ¶ And so {The Arrivals} draw to a close. Eight Cosmos have all arrived. At the moment two of them, Steph and Beka, practice chanting in front of a future Option, a Chant that consumes their attention and makes it very hard for them to think about the other six Cosmos who watch them. “Hot hot hot. Titters and twat. 98.6 in my anus.” Chants Pledge ‘Hot hot hot. Titters & twat. 98.6 in my anus.’ (Beka then Steph, Dining Room D14) Beka Chants ‘Hot hot hot. Titters & twat. 98.6 in my anus.’ (D14) Steph Chants ‘Hot hot hot. Titters & twat. 98.6 in my anus.’ (D14) ¶ Tomorrow {The Runup} begins. Will Steph and Beka still be here in the Dining Room admiring the Baseboard Strippers? ¶ During {The Runup} the Cosmos Roommate Games will commence. Pledge may make moves, and Pledge may get moved upon. Any Cosmos not already serious will need to get real serious real soon. Even Monitor Babs, apparently able to decide if she Options Up or Down or simply Hovers, must remain cognizant of MomCap’s presence, the unseen power of Game Mistress, the uncertainty presented by fellow Monitor Janet, misbehavior by her own Pledge, and the possibilities that now-Strippers Penny and Coco may plot revenge. Games Roommate Games will begin in Book II, {The Runup Runup, The} Roommate Games will begin in Book II, {The Runup} MomCap Babs remain cognoscente of presence (Dining Room D14) Game Mistress Babs exerts unseen power (Dining Room D14) Babs Penny conflicts Babs fears payback from the loosing Strippers (Dining Room D14) Penny Babs conflicts Babs fears payback from the loosing Strippers (Dining Room D14) Babs Coco conflicts Babs fears payback from the loosing Strippers (Dining Room D14) Coco Babs conflicts Babs fears payback from the loosing Strippers (Dining Room D14)Babs Janet conflicts Babs fears uncertainty about her former Roommate (Dining Room D14) Janet Babs conflicts Babs fears uncertainty about her former Roommate (Dining Room D14) ¶ So do the Cosmos play a Game about sexual power? Indeed, they study and learn the arts of Kundalini, the sex in Nature. Sex power is one of Nature’s dynamics present on Earth, maybe throughout the Universe. Opposites complement: in physics, in electro-mechanics, in development. Cosmos must temper their desires amidst Kundalini coils and learn to channel sex power. Kundalini the sex fin Nature, Cosmos shall learn to channel sex power (Dining Room D14) ¶ And will our Cosmos Pledge master the skills to acquire or keep two Garments, Opt Up, and become Monitors next Term? Gamers know some Cosmos aspire to that goal. And will some Cosmos command the skills to acquire or keep but one Garmentor none at alland Opt Down and become Strippers next Term? Absolutely! Gamers will every Pledge get what they want, be it Opt Up or Down? (Dining Room D14) ¶ But can every Pledge get what they want? ¶ Perhaps. Perhaps not. The Cosmos: A Look Ahead to the Rest of the Term ¶ ¶ ¶ The stories of the Cosmos as they begin their Roommate competitions continue in {The Cosmos: The Runup,} the next and second Book. During {The Runup} imbalances and alleged inequities between and among eight Cosmos and their few associates will attempt to find equilibrium… or not. ¶ As the Term progresses the Cosmos Pledge struggle with each other to determine who shall Opt Up and who shall Opt Down. The Cosmos shall play Games, endure hardships, submit to hazing and humiliations, pass examinations (or not), and outwit one another (or not). Kundalini, Karma, unforeseen circumstances, complications, chaos, and cheating will likely all contribute to determine who wears what pieces at the end of the Term. As will talent, of course. {Runup, The} Book II of the Cosmos continues this saga ¶ Physics permits four Cosmos to Opt Up and four to Opt Down next Term. But physics often has fine grain and more than one way to resolve equilibriums. Learning requires observation and patience. Calm. Memory. Steerage. Deals with Gamers can turn out with unforeseen consequences; they can have the potential to turn out a Pledge before a Pledge knows what is happening. ¶ Furthermore, “Opts”winning and losingcan involve complex Gaming, because they involve not just how many Garments a Cosmos wears, but also what Obeisance might be required to acquire and to hold or divest them. In fact, “winning and losing” are loaded terms, as are “Up” and “Down.” Certainly not all Cosmos aspire to the same Fate. Many argue that all Castes are equal before Kundalini, although they are unequal in power. Castes defined, equal before Kundalini, but unequal in power Kundalini all Castes are equal before (although unequal in power) ¶ Some Gamers anticipate that the events which lead to their ultimate Fates at the end of the Term will be resolved in {The Cosmos: The
