I'm excited to meet my new boss, who's replacing lovely Mr Stevens, who has just retired. I stop at a coffee shop on the way to work, to collect him a coffee, just to get off to the right start, but everything goes wrong immediately! He's angry that I'm late, and clearly has very old-school ideas about what a Personal Assistant should do, how she should dress, even how she should SPEAK! After a few days of trying to follow his instructions, he tells me that my performance isn't good enough, and that he plans to demote me to the role of a SERVANT, unless I want to hand in my resignation. I can't possibly do that, so I have to accept. Soon, I find myself dressed in high heels, short socks, long satin gloves, and a METAL COLLAR! What on earth is my new role going to involve? And WHY is he carrying a riding crop around the office now??
