[03-2024] (English) Suzy visits her friend's apartment after a very crazy few days of non-stop work, after almost four days without rest and somewhat dehydrated. Suddenly she starts gasping for air. Jade calls the ambulance, lays her down on the floor and starts resus with MTM and CPR. As a nurse's aide she has an AED she has been practicing with and follows the machines’ automated instructions. After the first cycle there is no response. She continues with MTM and CPR with deep and strong chest compressions and a few more AED cycles until the paramedics arrive. They examine the patient and continue resus on her, then switching to ambu bagging. Following a few cycles, they hook her up to a 3 lead heart monitor and prep her for intubation. They continue CPR with deep and strong compressions. They affix an ET tube for intubation and perform a few more cycles when the patient’s pulse returns to normal rhythm.
