[05-2024] (English) Patient Sofi is laying on an ICU bed with electrodes attached. She is hooked up to a heart monitor with the standard 3 lead ECG and parallel 7 lead ECG. There are 3 EEG electrodes placed on her head, and a BP cuff placed. A Mayo pipe is inserted and O2 mask placed onto her face. First, she rests in a supine position, observed slowly from all angles. The doctor enters and examines her. She takes her BP and Steth’s heart. She then adjusts the bedpost at a 30- and 45-degree angle. Soon the patient starts gasping and flatlines. The doctor enters and starts CPR on Sofi immediately. She performs deep and strong chest compressions and keeps the patient breathing with an Ambu bag. The defibrillator is charged but there is no response. The doctor performs a few more cycles until Sofi’s pulse returns to normal rhythm. The doctor removes the Mayo pipe from Sofi’s mouth and intubates her. She affixes the tube with the Thomas Tube holder and hooks her up to the ventilator. Then the doctor returns and asks Sofi how she is. Sofi signals with her eyes that she is feeling better. A nice ICU clip with Sofi with a longer ICU scene then resus and defib. A must see for ICU fans. (in HD 1920X1080) - OPandER (FDC)
