**note: trailer is vertical but the film itself is landscape** Katarina Hramov AKA ‘Kiki’ Helix has been offered an alternative to jail via a new pilot diversion programme in her area, following contact with police at a protest. The pilot programme has come about as a strategy to quell growing outrage and concern in the community that young people were increasingly being arrested and jailed for partaking in political activities. Kiki feels strongly that she needs to be a ‘perfect reformed citizen’ in order to pass this pilot and hopefully contribute to the body of evidence that it is a successful criminal justice intervention - both because Kiki wants more alternatives to jails and prisons in future for friends, but also because Kiki does not want to go to jail herself. The pilot programme requires participants to spend 3 days per week volunteering in understaffed public programmes. Kiki has been assigned a local public-ran retirement centre for older single men.
