Vanessa goes to the emergency room with chest pain and difficulty breathing. The doctors begin to examine the girl, attach electrodes to her chest and turn on the monitor. After several minutes they realize that they need to do a cardioversion, so they place the paddles on her chest and deliver several shocks. Vanessa goes into cardiac arrest and is promptly resuscitated. But her heart continues to beat irregularly, so they decide to do a second cardioversion. After several shocks, Vanessa's heart finally gives out. CPR cycles begin immediately, with chest compressions and AMBU bagging. After several cycles alternating with numerous shocks, the girl recovers. It doesn't take long for the girl to go into cardiac arrest again. The doctors resume with CPR cycles and AMBU bagging. Numerous defibrillator shocks are administered. Vanessa does not recover and the resuscitation attempts continue. After numerous cycles the girl finally recovers.
