My two boys get home from taking their university finals. The usual failure, of course, didn't pass and will not graduate. My favorite son got the highest grade in his class, and graduated with honors. I make it readily apparent to the unsuccessful son that I do NOT reward failure. First I promise my favorite son a dinner on me, and a celebration of his success later on. Later that night both boys come out complaining that their rooms are hot because the air conditioner quit working. They both ask to stay in my room where I have a spare.
