When Miss Evans, a young woman of easy virtue, returns home from a club, she sees a horror: her reflection in the mirror does not please her - a life of partying and casual affairs has left her devastated. In a fit of despair, she makes the fateful decision to become a nun, but is unable to take a step towards a new life.
