Welcome to my safety at sea training. Let’s start at the bottom and work our way up. You need to be appropriately dressed when you’re out at sea. I always have wetsuit booties on and a full length wetsuit as it can get very cold in the sea. As we are in the UK, I would suggest at least a 5mm thickness. I also wear wetsuit gloves to protect my hands and although this isn’t part of the safety brief, I just love the feel of them! I also wear a neoprene jacket over my wetsuit to stay extra warm. Most importantly you need a life jacket! I have a padded O’Neil one on today. It has four adjustable buckles to keep me extra safe. This life jacket doesn't have a crotch strap unfortunately. You can attach all your necessary safety equipment to your life jacket to ensure that you are safe out at sea and you can respond appropriately in an emergency. I will run through all of this with you. Now that’s the safety brief done, I hope you found it useful, it could save your life. Let’s get going on the jet ski!
