But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight, "Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!" But little did I know, as I went back to bed, That a surprise awaited, more exciting than bread; For as I lay there sleeping, I felt a small tickle, And woke up to find Santa, with a mischievous giggle. In my stocking he hid, in the dark of the night, Waiting for me to discover this Christmas delight; I gasped as I saw him, both shocked and amazed, But Santa, he just winked, and my heart began to blaze. For beneath his beard and his belly full of cheer, Was a hidden package, that brought me to tears; He pulled me upon his lap, with a knowing glance, And whispered in my ear, "It's time to take a chance." That night, I found love, in the most unexpected place, And learned that Christmas can be full of grace; For Santa Claus turned out to be a lover so bold, A memory I'll cherish, forever to hold.
