[03-2023] Deborah is being resuscitated in the beauty salon when the parameds arrives. The paramed team places her on the floor using the sheet under her back. They check her vitals, BP and pupils and then listen to her chest. They continue CPR with strong chest compressions and ambu bagging as they hook her up to a 7-lead heart monitor. They insert a Mayo pipe into the patient’s mouth. The manual defibrillator is charged but there is no responses after the first cycle. Following a few more cycles of CPR and ambu bagging. They switch to the ResQCPR tool to be more efficient. The med team realizes the patient has liquid in her mouth, so they roll her on her side, remove the Mayo pipe and clean her mouth. Then they put back the Mayo pipe and continue the resus procedure. Following more cycles, they intubate the patient and continue CPR. They have to perform many more cycles of resus until finally the patient’s pulse returns to sinus rhythm.
